3 Benefits Of Bathing With Dead Sea Salt

Since ancient times, the dead sea has long been venerated for its healing powers. It's even said that Queen Cleopatra herself, relied on the compounds from the dead sea to help cure her ills.

The waters of the dead sea contain 21 different minerals, with some heavy hitters like magnesium, potassium, zinc, bromide and more! These minerals work synergistically to help nourish our bodies. This is why, here at Cocoa Made, we use dead sea salt in many of our product formulations!

Here are three ways dead sea salt baths can benefit you:

1. Get better sleep

A study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health shows that 68% of Americans are magnesium deficient. Magnesium deficiency can contribute to poor sleep and insomnia. You can effectively absorb this important mineral through your skin by taking a bath in magnesium rich dead sea salt. A good night sleep is not only beneficial, but it's necessary for proper body function.

2. Stress less

Soaking in a warm dead sea salt bath will relax you. The minerals assist with detoxification by aiding your body in the removal of toxic byproducts. It also  helps to increase circulation.

3. Say goodbye to itchy skin

It can be helpful for conditions like eczema and certain forms of dermatitis. According to a study done in Germany, patients with eczema found significant improvement in their symptoms after a series of dead sea salt baths.
